Under ObamaCare, employers with 50 or more full-time workers must provide health insurance for all their workers, paying at least 65% of the cost of a family policy or 85% of the cost of an individual plan. Moreover, the insurance must meet the federal government’s requirements in terms of what benefits are included, meaning that many businesses that offer insurance to their workers today will have to change to new, more expensive plans.
ObamaCare’s rules make expansion expensive, particularly for the 500,000 US businesses that have fewer than 100 employees. Suppose that a firm with 49 employees does not provide health benefits. Hiring one more worker will trigger the mandate. The company would now have to provide insurance coverage to all 50 workers or pay a tax penalty.
In New York, the average employer contribution for employer-provided insurance plans, runs from $4,567 for an individual to $ 12,748 for a family. Many companies will likely choose to pay the penalty instead, which is still expensive — $2,000 per worker multiplied by the entire workforce, after subtracting the statutory exemption for the first 30 workers. For a 50-person company, then, the tax would be $40,000, or $2,000 times 20. That might not seem like a lot, but for many small businesses that could be the difference between survival and failure.
Overall, according to the Congressional Budget Office, ObamaCare could end up costing as many as 800,000 jobs. The election showed us that ObamaCare is likely to be with us for quite some time. Unfortunately, a great many workers are about to find out the consequences of that decision.

This may well be the last time I speak on the House Floor. At the end of the year I’ll leave Congress after 23 years in office over a 36 year period. My goals in 1976 were the same as they are today: promote peace and prosperity by a strict adherence to the principles of individual liberty.
It was my opinion, that the course the U.S. embarked on in the latter part of the 20th Century would bring us a major financial crisis and engulf us in a foreign policy that would overextend us and undermine our national security.
To achieve the goals I sought, government would have had to shrink in size and scope, reduce spending, change the monetary system, and reject the unsustainable costs of policing the world and expanding the American Empire.
The problems seemed to be overwhelming and impossible to solve, yet from my view point, just following the constraints placed on the federal government by the Constitution would have been a good place to start.
How Much Did I Accomplish?
Democrats at their finest!

Obama is calling for $1.6 TRILLION in tax increases.
OUR 23rd STATE: Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst endorsed a change yesterday in state law to require a first-ever mandatory drug testing for welfare recipients and those receiving unemployment assistance.
Texas is now the 23rd state which has either implemented a similar change or is considering it. The law would keep welfare recipients from spending money on illegal drugs, instead of necessary living expenses for which it is intended.
Drug users who flunked a mandatory test would be disqualified from receiving benefits for up to 12 months, but could qualify for treatment programs. 80 percent of Texas employers are now requiring drug-testing of employees and prospective employees. The measure is opposed by the ACLU, Moveon and the Progressive Change Campaign Committee.
America in its earliest days attracted people from all over the world for one simple reason: freedom. Freedom was not just about the right to say what you want or casting a ballot in an election; freedom meant having the liberty to make something of your life. It was freedom unlike any other. Back when, if you were born rich, you tended to die rich, and more important, if you were born poor, you most likely died poor. But not in America. The fact of the matter is, anybody with the drive to succeed, no matter their past or their family standing, could go as far as there god given talents and rights could take them.
However, this freedom was not made possible by government meddling in the economy or taxing the American people to serfdom. American officials did not get rich on the backs of taxpayers; they did it by leaving the government after a few years and making money in the free market. But uncle Sam started to get addicted to OPM, other peoples money, stealing the resources of the rich in order to enslave the poor. The brilliance of this ( if you would call it that) is that they thought it would work.
Nancy Pelosi is staying mum about whether she wants to keep leading the Democrats in the House of Representatives, though she suggested Tuesday that she’ll announce one way or the other on Wednesday if she plans to step down from her leadership position.
“While I love you all very dearly, I thought maybe I would talk to my own caucus before I shared that information with you,” Pelosi told reporters during a Tuesday press conference at the Capitol. Pelosi suggested an announcement about her future will come during a Wednesday press conference.
“I’ll see you tomorrow at 10, for those of who you are interested,” Pelosi said with a laugh.
This isn’t the first time that Pelosi’s future has been in question after an election. In 2010, Pelosi surprised observers by not stepping down after the disastrous midterm election that saw Democrats lose 63 seats. Pelosi has served as Democratic leader for 10 years. Minority Whip Steny Hoyer is believed to be the most likely replacement for Pelosi if she steps down.
I really wanna get the word out, and I believe we can do this! Thank you!

Sad part is, these are the only ones I FOUND!! And these are major companies! God Knows there are thousands of more companies out there laying off workers and small business in general have it harder! THIS IS WHAT WE VOTED FOR! TWO DAYS AFTER ELECTION. Can you imagine four more years?
Obama victory, plus 4 days: Already, the US economy is making major changes, and it seems that job creators from sea to shining sea are casting their post-election votes. Employers are now going through a rash of being forced to make layoffs, trying to build buffer zone between the solvency of their businesses and the new taxes and regulations that are on their way, come January.
Keep in mind: The economy doesn’t have the luxury of being political, but it can only react to political winds. Thus, you have layoffs when a President is reelected, who is wildly hostile to economic prosperity and freedoms which result in actual private sector job creation.
Again, businesses are not operating for political purposes …they are in it for profits and growth (obviously). They are organisms with no political views that only react to external stimuli in an effort to capitalize on future ‘weather’ events. If you doubted that Washington’s current policies are detrimental to businesses, you should have checked the stock market ticker the morning after Tuesday evening. Of course, if you are truly a liberal, and abhor profits …just think of that when you get your paycheck from your evil job-creator boss, and sip your latte from the local Starbucks (which just so happens to be another business that’s in it for the profits.)
It is upsetting how many articles I have seen that state “New business laid off more workers due to Obama’s Re-election”
We conservatives, we do not accept bipartisanship in the pursuit of tyranny. Period. We will not negotiate the terms of our economic and political servitude. Period. We will not abandon our child to a dark and bleak future. We will not accept a fate that is alien to the legacy we inherited from every single future generation in this country. We will not accept social engineering by politicians and bureaucrats who treat us like lab rats, rather than self-sufficient human beings. There are those in this country who choose tyranny over liberty. They do not speak for us, 57 million of us who voted against this yesterday, and they do not get to dictate to us under our Constitution.
Don’t blame me. I voted Romney Ryan.
